I. Instrument overview:
Hot jacket bimetal thermometer is a kind of field measuring instrument suitable for medium and low temperature measurement, can be used to directly measure the temperature of gas, liquid, and steam. The thermometer is waterproof, corrosion-proof, flameproof, shock-resistant, intuitive, easy to read, no mercury damage, durable and so on. Can replace other shape measuring instrument.
Two, measurement principle:
It works on the principle that two different metals expand differently when the temperature changes. The main component of industrial bimetal thermometers is a multi-layer metal sheet composed of two or more metal sheets stacked together. In order to improve the temperature sensitivity of bimetal thermometers, metal sheet is usually made into spiral coil shape. When the temperature of the multilayer metal sheet changes, the expansion or contraction of the metal layer is not equal, causing the spiral coil to roll or loosen. Because one end of the spiral coil is fixed and the other end is connected to a freely rotating pointer, the temperature can be indicated on a circular indexing scale when the bimetallic sheet senses a change in temperature.

It can cooperate with all kinds of casing installation to meet the requirements of different pressure levels. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, vapor and gas media and solid surface in the range of -80-+500℃ in various production processes.

Six, notes
1, can not directly twist the head;
2, length to choose close to the standard size (integer multiple of 50mm);
3. The length of the protective tube immersed in the measured medium shall be greater than that of the temperature sensing element. Generally, the immersion length is recommended to be greater than 100mm, and the immersion length of 0-50℃ range is recommended to be greater than 150mm to ensure the accuracy of measurement.
4, bimetal thermometer should not be used to measure the temperature of the medium in the open container.
5, in the storage, use of installation and transportation, should avoid collision protection tube, do not make the protection tube bending, not to use the table as a wrench.
6, in the case of normal use should be regular inspection. Generally every six months is appropriate.
7, do not allow to work in strong vibration environment, so as not to shadow the life of bimetal, electrical contact bimetal thermometer is not allowed to be used in the control loop of large vibration occasions, so as not to affect the reliability.
